So if you haven’t submitted your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) yet, you still have some time to do so. The deadline is June 30, 2009 for the 2009-2010 School Year.

Community Foundation to high school seniors who live in the Waipahu ZIP
code and are pursuing higher education opportunities. Deadline is May 5.
Attention high school juniors and seniors! Get a head start on your future by entering the Running Start program. Through Running Start, you can attend college classes and earn both high school and college credits. Currently, nine University of Hawaii campuses participate in Running Start: UH Hilo and UH West Oahu and the seven community colleges: Hawaii CC, Honolulu CC, Kapiolani CC, Kauai CC, Leeward CC, Maui CC and Windward CC.
Hawai‘i P-20 Partnerships for Education, a partnership between the Good Beginnings Alliance, Department of Education and University of Hawai‘i System announced today that Hawai‘i’s own Bryan Clay will be featured in the 2009 media campaign promoting college and career readiness. Clay, a graduate of Castle High School and Azusa Pacific University, received a gold medal for the decathlon in the 2008 Olympics.
The SuperCollege Hawai‘i Scholarship is available to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors at eligible schools (check out the list below to see if your school is eligible). Win up to a $1,000 cash prize by preparing an essay to answer any one of the following questions in 1 to 2 pages (about 300-500 words):
o What do you aim to learn in college? Why?
o What do you hope to achieve in your future career?
o What have you learned through service in your community?
o How has a role model helped to shape your future ambitions?
Hawai‘i P-20 Partnerships for Education today announced its GEAR UP Scholarship recipients, who will receive over $643,000 in scholarship money to help them pay for their college education.
